The Space V greenhouse features an air exchange mechanism with the cabin which captures the CO2 produced by the crew and returns the O2 produced by the plants.
The Multilayer micro conditioning system

The Adaptive Space V Greenhouse is equipped with a separate micro-conditioning system for each shelf, which has significant advantages. In fact, it allows growing on each shelf non-homogeneous types of plants requiring different temperatures and humidity rates and minimizes the consumption of electricity. This aspect directly reflects on the volumetric air flow used to maintain a constant thermo-hygrometric condition of the crops and therefore affects energy consumption and ultimately the cost per unit of product harvested. Assuming constant air exchanges every hour, the comparison between the Adaptive Space Greenhouse and the static one shows a 45% reduction of energy consumption
