The next generation of Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) must be able to maintain healthy conditions of the living quarters and not to waste any resource.
They must include regenerative systems for oxygen, water, waste management and food preparation and must be very efficient and reliable.
Space V stands ready to collaborate with leading companies worldwide engaged in ECLSS design to integrate our multilayer adaptive greenhouse concept in the vegetable food production systems of the future.

ITALY’S STANCE IN THE SPACE MARKETPLACE
Italy has a long tradition in Space: it was one of the first nations in the world to launch and operate satellites, it was one of the founding members of the European Space Agency and it is today one of its largest contributors.
Through ESA programs and through national programs supported by the Italian Space Agency, usually in multilateral collaborations, the Italian industrial chain is present in all the fundamental space technologies. As regards the exploration of Moon and Mars, Italy participates in the NASA Artemis program taking part in the construction of the Moon Gateway, managed by ESA; collaborates with NASA for the development of a multifunctional logistics module on the lunar soil.
it Thales Alenia Space Italy enjoys worldwide a strong reputation in the design and manufacture of manned space structures. Suffice to say that about 50% of the pressurized modules of the International Space Station are made in Italy. Space V’s vegetable food production engineering fits nicely in thi scenario matching emerging needs of future space habitats.
